Marine Training

Two things they teach Marines: Keep your priorities in
order Know when to act without hesitation.

A college professor, an avowed atheist, was teaching
his class. He shocked several of his students when he
flatly stated he was going to prove there was no God.

Addressing the ceiling he shouted: “God, if you are real,
then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll
give you 15 minutes!”

The lecture room fell silent. You could have heard a pin
fall. Ten minutes went by. Again he taunted God, saying,
“Here I am, God. I’m still waiting.”

His countdown got down to the last couple of minutes
when a Marine – just released from active duty and newly
registered in the class – walked up to the professor, hit
him full force in the face, and sent him tumbling from his
lofty platform.

The professor was out cold! The students were shocked and
babbled in confusion.

The young Marine took a seat in the front row and sat
silent. The class fell silent…waiting.

Eventually, the professor came to, shaken. He looked at
the young Marine in the front row. When the professor
regained his senses and could speak he asked: “What’s
the matter with you? Why did you do that?”

“God was busy. He sent me.”

America

America has been on a long spiral of decline for many years, not only financially, but morally, militarily and spiritual as well there are many reason for this, all of which can be traced back to one group of people, who are they?

Walking to School

Art Prints

Timmy was a little five year old boy that his Mom loved very much and,
being a worrier, she was concerned about him walking to school when he
started Kindergarten. She walked him to school the couple of days but
when he came home one day, he told his mother that he did not want
her walking him to school everyday. He wanted to be like the “big boys.”

He protested loudly,so she had an idea of how to handle it.

She asked a neighbor, Mrs. Goodnest, if she would surreptitiously follow
her son to school, at a distance behind him that he would not likely
notice, but close enough to keep a watch on him. Mrs. Goodnest said
that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good
way for them to get some exercise as well so she agreed.

The next school day, Mrs. Goodnest and her little girl, Marcy, set out
following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor
boy he knew. She did this for the whole week.

As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, the little
friend of Timmy noticed that this same lady was following them as
she seemed to do every day all week. Finally, he said to Timmy,
“Have you noticed that lady following us all week? Do you know her?”

Timmy nonchalantly replied, “Yea, I know who she is.”

The little friend said, “Well who is she?”

“That’s just Shirley Goodnest” Timmy said.

“Shirley Goodnest? Who is she and why is she following us?”

“Well,” Timmy explained, “every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd
Psalm with my prayers ‘cuz she worries about me so much. And in it,
the prayer psalm says, “Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all
the days of my life,” so I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.”

church and state

There has been much debate over the years about what the founding fathers meant about the separation of church and state. In recent times there has been much disinformation about how they actually believed, especially George Washington. In this short Ebook the author tries to explain how they actually felt.

Why Law School costs so Much

Why Law School Costs So Much

One day in contract law class, Professor Jetson asked one of his better students, “Now if you were to give someone an orange, how would you go about it?”

The student replied, “I’d say ‘Hey: want an orange?'”

The professor was livid. “No! No! Think like a lawyer!” he instructed.”Oh,” the student said.

“In that case, I’d tell him, ‘I hereby give and convey to you, all and singular, my estate and interests, rights, claim, title, claim and advantages of and in, said orange, together with all its rind, juice, pulp, and seeds, and all rights and advantages with full power to bite, cut, freeze and otherwise eat the same, or give the same away with or without the pulp, juice, rind and seeds, anything herein before or hereinafter or in any deed, or deeds, instruments of whatever nature or kind whatsoever to the contrary in anywise notwithstanding.”

“You’re making good progress,” the professor said.
